Deem’s Halloween party

In Culture and news by James Deem10 Comments

Last Thursday, October 29th, the San Francisco Deem Team’s guys and ghouls ladies gathered in the cobweb-covered breakroom to celebrate the approach of All Hallow’s Eve. While dense fog carpeted the floor and eerie Halloween anthems such as “Thriller” and “The Monster Mash” played, we carved pumpkins, scarfed pizzas, gurgled wine, and paraded costumes both spooky and kooky. Our discerning jack-o-lantern judges had a difficult time deciding which pumpkin should take home the prize, but ultimately chose Julian Quisquater and Yoni Meron’s “Hello”-inspired Lionel Richie lookalike. The raucous evening ended with a raffle and creatively competitive costume contest, with winners chosen in the following categories:

  • Scariest: Chris Kerr as the Phantom of the Opera
  • Funniest: Julian Quisquater as a Belgian monk
  • Most Realistic: Brent Northey as a local construction worker
  • Best Overall: Lauren Smith as a masquerading piratess

All in all, the Deem Teamers thoroughly enjoyed two full hours of tricks, treats, and creepy crawly Halloween fun, adding another successful party to the books. Be sure to check out our events schedule below to stay in the know about upcoming festivities:
