Mike Daly is more than Deem’s VP of Car Service and Travel — he is our Car Service and Travel evangelist. With 20+ years of experience in the travel industry, he has long been considered a leading expert, and throughout those years he has gained the strategic and tactical experience that has enabled him to lead the front-line of Car Service here at Deem. In fact, he was part of the team who represented us at at last week’s LCT Show, showcasing our products to a bevy of interested operators.
For this week’s Deem Employee Spotlight, we sat down with Mike to find out a little more about what makes him tick.
Where are you from?
Where did you go to school?
University of San Diego
What 3 words would you use to describe yourself?
Confident, honest, and light-hearted.
Where do you live?
Describe your home life:
I have four kids (8-14 years old) who are into lacrosse, baseball, basketball, fishing, and cheerleading. I have no time for any hobbies except for coaching the above. On weekends, though, I can sometimes slip away to sing the National Anthem before curling matches.
Where would you choose if you could live anywhere in the world?
When and why did you start working at Deem?
In 2005, I stated during my interview that I wanted to change the world by creating new marketplaces and improve existing processes already in place. Deem was the only company that offered both.
Where do you see the future of the Car Service going?
Car service could be the beginning of a whole new look at transportation in general. Just like books were the first step to revolutionizing shopping for Amazon and others, Car Service could be the first step for something larger because of its potential to touch our lives every day, through travel, shipping, food delivery, driver-less technology, etc.
